Privacy policy

This site is designed to collect as little as possible. No cookies, no trackers, no analytics.

Data controller

The controller for data collected through this site is TheOtherCompany (Flavien Ruffel, gérant), 5 rue de la Hache, 14000 Caen, France. For any question about your data: contact@theothercompany.fr. The site and emails are hosted in the European Union; no data is transferred outside the EU.

Cookies and trackers

This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics tool or third-party service (no Google Analytics, no ad network, no fonts or scripts loaded from another domain). That is why no consent banner is shown.

Server logs

Like any web server, the host (OVH SAS) records technical connection logs (IP address, date, requested page) for security and proper operation. These logs are kept by the host for its own retention periods and are not used for tracking.

Data you send us

When you email an address at this domain, we receive your email address and the content of your message. This data is used only to reply to you and to manage any commercial or contractual relationship that may follow. It is neither resold nor shared with third parties.

Legal basis: performance of pre-contractual measures taken at your request (art. 6.1.b GDPR) and our legitimate interest in answering your requests (art. 6.1.f). Retention: the time needed to handle your request, then the applicable limitation period in case of a contractual relationship.

Data processed during an engagement

Data I access during a testing or audit engagement is processed under the contract between us and encrypted throughout the engagement. Operational data is deleted at the end; only the report and necessary evidence are kept, encrypted, for the duration set in the contract. TheOtherCompany then acts as a processor within the meaning of the GDPR.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of your data. To exercise them, email contact@theothercompany.fr. You can also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr).
